my grandma jo is almost 99 years old, so we take advantage of seeing her whenever we can. she lives in st. george now with my uncle, and the last two times that i had been through st. george she was in northern utah staying with my aunts. because it had been awhile since we had seen her, we drove to st. george to visit. we only stayed an hour and a half because we didn't want to wear her out, but it was definitely worth it to spend time with her. it's amazing how sharp her mind still is (she remembered all of our names and knew what we all were up to) and how quick witted she is (she cracked some jokes about us having more kids).

i think i remember meeting grandma jo once. is that possible? in my mind her face looks the same way it did 15 years ago! she looks amazing and it sounds like she's still super sharp too. hope you can tap into some of those genes. lucky katie. :)
My grandpa lived to be 99 . . it was amazing to listen to him. They've seen a lot in their lifetime!
Oh that is so cool she is still kickin'! I miss my grandparents so much, especially grammy. i wish so mch she could have known my husband and kids:( you are lucky! i saw you at the mall the other day but i hardly recognized you cause you are so DANG SKINNY! what have you been doing? sorry i didn't say hi. you were with your fam and me and matty were in a hurry shopping for school clothes!

I still remember that picture of her decked out in your all black clothes from high school. She is a cutie!
How great for your kids to get to know their great-grandmother! I wish my grandparents were still alive for that reason. There's nothing quite as touching as a multi-generational picture!
I spent some time with my great-Grandma (so the boys' great-great grandma) just after Caleb was born. It was only a couple of months after that photo that she passed away. You will never regret taking these kind of trips, even if the kids don't always travel well!
